About Keely
Keely is a Registered Psychologist who has also worked for 10 years as a university and professional course instructor. She has worked extensively with people of all ages and backgrounds, and in a variety of settings to achieve their therapeutic goals. She is experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches and is experienced in child and adult Autism, ADHD, cognitive and learning assessments.
During her training she has worked with adolescent and young adults within community services in providing support for general wellbeing, drug and sexual health, in an LGBTQIA+ friendly and inclusive space. Previous to this, she worked extensively with neuropsychological testing and screening of senior patients for healthy ageing and neurodegenerative factors at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is also trained as a medical researcher and has worked in neuroscience laboratories, where she has specialised in neural correlates of addiction and behaviour. Previous to training in medical research, she has worked extensively with people of all ages and backgrounds as a Software Instructor, Art and Spanish Language teacher. During her 10 years’ in teaching, she has helped people through applied training to achieve their goals and help understand and resolve challenges in support of helping them live more fulfilling and self-actualised lives. Prior to immigrating to Australia, she immigrated to 5 other countries, and she speaks Spanish fluently, with good knowledge of French and Italian. She has been highly involved in the human rights sector and has special experience and interest in working with refugee and immigrant clients.
Keely has an empathic and warm approach to supporting people achieve their goals, and takes a client-centered, evidence based, cognitive approach in therapy and intervention. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), ’19 at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience, and then completed her two masters degrees concurrently, Master of Professional Psychology ’21, ISN Psychology, and Master of Clinical Research (Neuroscience) ’21, University of Melbourne, Faculty of Medicine.
